NATIONAL PARKS FREE DAYS

April 19, 2024 - First Day of National Park Week                    June 19, 2024 - Juneteenth National Independence Day
August 4, 2024 - Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act
September 28, 2024 - National Public Lands Day
November 11, 2024 - Veterans Day

National parks are America’s best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time. The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.

Squatchcon

DATES: MARCH 21-22 

LOCATION: PORT ANGELES 

Squatchcon is a uniquely Olympic Peninsula cosplay, gaming, and arts convention with a twist. Celebrate what makes our corner of the Pacific Northwest so wild, weird, and wonderful. That includes Sasquatch, especially the Sasquatch Darrell!

Squatchcon is held at Vern Burton Community Center in Port Angeles, Washington.

ARBORFEST

DATES: APRIL 13

LOCATION: YAKIMA VALLEY

Turn up the "Flower Power" to celebrate Washington State's Arbor Day in a vibrant and nature-inspired extravaganza. It's all about embracing the true colors, captivating scents, and unique wonders of our magnificent trees and forests. Celebrate the beauty of nature and the vital role trees play in our lives.  Families can expect lots of free learning opportunities, crafts, and displays showcasing the effects of forest fires. Plus, families will have an opportunity to take home their own tree to plant in their yard in honor of Arbor Day.  The Arbor Festival strives to make environmental science fun for everyone to learn! April 13th,  10am - 3pm.

Gravel Unravel Biking Event

DATES: APRIL 20

The Gravel Unravel is an endurance bicycle event series from Peninsula Adventure Sports that takes place on the gravel road systems of the Olympic Peninsula. Each event has a short, medium, and long course, followed by food and beer. Bring your gravel, mountain or cross bike and experience the beauty of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.

TAGCON

TAGCON is an annual board game convention in the Tri-Cities that welcomes anyone and everyone who wants to play board games, card games, and roleplaying games.

Skagit Valley Tulip Festival 

DATES: APRIL 1-30

LOCATION: MOUNT VERON

The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is one of the destination events for the Pacific Northwest, held from April 1-30, celebrating millions of tulips bursting into bloom. As with all things governed by Mother Nature, the tulips bloom according to their own schedule sometime during the festival. The tulips allow us to share our corner of the world and showcase Skagit Valley agriculture.

Lilac Days

The Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens is a restoration project to honor the work of famed lilac developer Hulda Klager. It contains an 1800s house and surrounding buildings and Gardens. It is a National Historic Site.

Pacific County Museum Month

DATES: MAY 1-31

LOCATION: PACIFIC COUNTY 

Eleven museums in Pacific County are coming together to celebrate Museum Month. Each noteworthy museum will welcome guests to experience the deep culture and heritage that is woven through Pacific County firsthand. Museums throughout Raymond, Tokeland, the Long Beach Peninsula, and beyond are excited to present visitors with special offers, from store discounts and special exhibits to studio tours and discounted or complimentary admission. Be sure to stop by your favorite museums in May to participate!

White Salmon Wildflower Festival

LOCATION: WHITE SALMON 

White Salmon Wildflower Festival is nestled in the largest scenic area in America, the Columbia River Gorge.
The 2nd Annual White Salmon Wildflower Festival unites our community to celebrate the natural beauty in and around White Salmon, Washington, while advocating for the preservation and appreciation of wildflowers during May.  Proceeds from most of the events support the local non-profits, including CultureSeed, White Salmon Arts Council, Klickitat County Fire District #3, and the Downtown White Salmon Beautification Projects, focusing on native plants and art.
